The Story
An evening on the Kent coast
A joyful declaration of love, My Dog Is The Best is a bold original painting that celebrates the unapologetic devotion we feel for our four-legged companions. Bursting with expressive layers of hot pinks, reds, and flashes of gold leaf, the piece captures the playful, emotional energy that defines life with a beloved dog.
Created in Lauren Rogers-Martin’s signature mixed-media style, the painting combines thick, gestural brushstrokes with spontaneous marks and hand-written text. The result is a vibrant, tactile surface. At its heart, the simple message becomes both humorous and heartfelt — a statement every dog owner quietly believes.
Inspired by the characterful dogs seen daily along the beaches and streets of Whitstable, this artwork brings a sense of warmth, personality, and seaside spirit into the home. It is designed to be a focal point: expressive, modern, and full of life.
Whether styled in a contemporary London apartment or a relaxed coastal interior, My Dog Is The Best adds colour, confidence, and a touch of humour to any space.
