About

Most people want a home that feels calm, beautiful, and personal.

But modern life is fast, spaces feel rushed, and the details that bring warmth and atmosphere are often overlooked.

The LRM Studio was created to help people build homes that feel more meaningful, through art, fragrance and design inspired by the British seaside.

The LRM Studio

Artist-led by design

Lauren Rogers-Martin is a British fine artist and illustrator whose work explores themes of place, memory, identity, and femininity.

Working across painting, illustration, and lifestyle design, her practice combines expressive mark-making with refined composition. Her work is deeply influenced by the environments she inhabits, with Whitstable’s coastline playing a central role in the studio’s aesthetic.

The LRM Studio was created as a way to extend art beyond the canvas—allowing it to exist quietly within homes, daily rituals, and meaningful spaces.

From a Whitstable studio to homes around the world

In November 2023, Lauren opened The LRM Studio on Whitstable High Street, a small, immersive space where art, fragrance, and colour came together under one roof. It quickly became a creative destination, drawing visitors to Whitstable and collectors from across the UK and beyond. Although the physical studio has since closed, its spirit continues through online collections, seasonal pop-ups, collaborations with local and national stockists, and styling projects across Whitstable, London, and further afield. Today, The LRM Studio has grown into a quiet movement of people choosing to live beautifully by the sea, wherever they are in the world.

Living beautifully by the sea.

What we create

The LRM Studio brings together original paintings, limited-edition art prints, home fragrance, and design-led objects inspired by life on the British coast. Each piece is created in small runs or limited editions, with a focus on quality, atmosphere, and emotional connection.

From candles and diffusers to artwork and thoughtful home pieces, the collection is designed to help you create a space that feels calm, personal, and beautifully lived in.

Inspired by Whitstable

Based in Whitstable, Kent, and shaped by a life between London and the sea, The LRM Studio draws its character from the rhythm of the coast. The changing light, the quiet streets, the colour of the water, and the creative energy of the town all inform the studio’s visual language.

Even as an online-first brand, this strong sense of place remains at the heart of every collection, allowing customers across the UK and beyond to bring a small piece of Whitstable into their homes.

A considered way of creating

The LRM Studio exists for people who want their homes to feel meaningful, calm, and personal. It is not about filling spaces with more things, but about choosing fewer pieces that are better made and more deeply felt.

Art, fragrance, and objects are designed to become part of everyday rituals—lit in the evening, passed in the hallway, noticed in quiet moments—helping transform a house into a place that truly feels like home.
